At Forward Direction, we know the heartache and pain of many of our young people. Life can feel hopeless when you are staring into a future with a record. But we also know the hope of Jesus and have the proven experience, network and training to guide young women and men into a hope-filled future—one small step at a time.
Our ultimate commitment and goal is to help formerly incarcerated youth become stable, sober, career-focused adults integrated into a healthy community.

OUR MISSION
Forward Direction exists to provide safe housing, Christian mentorship, and life resources for youth exiting juvenile detention so they can build stable, purpose-driven lives and never again return to prison.

Sue Micetic, PhD
As Founder at Forward Direction, Sue is passionate about providing holistic care and hope for those impacted by the vicious cycle of abuse, trafficking and incarceration.

Terrilyn Miller
As former Lead of Faith Based Initiatives at the Governor’s office and Trauma Sensitive LIfe Coach, Terrilyn Miller knows the ins and outs of the juvenile detention world.

Rachel Sloma
Rachel joined the FD team because she cares deeply about youth education and community outreach. She previously volunteered with local literacy programs.

As CFO, Dale brings 20+ years of executive leadership experience along with a wealth of knowledge and heart to the mission and team at Forward Direction.
